Pastor Timothy Maddox, 

Pastor Timothy J. Maddox was born in Dublin, Georgia, to Herbert Maddox and the late Bobbie Jean Maddox. He is the oldest of five children born to this marriage. He is a graduate from East Laurens High School which is located in East Dublin, Georgia.

Pastor Maddox is married to the former Carla R. Johnson, and has remained married for 32 years, and has 4 children born to this marriage, Raymond (Vanessa), Tamika (John), Andrea, and Lisa. Pastor Maddox has 3 daughters prior to his marriage, Quirnella, Sabrina, and Shambria. Pastor Maddox and Sister raised her niece and who is their daughter through obligation and sacrifice, Nina.

Pastor Maddox joined the United States Army in 1983 and served honorably for 26 plus years until his retir- ement in June 2009. Pastor Maddox served at Fort Jackson, South Carolina; Aschaffenburg; Germany; Hanau, Germany; Fort Hood, Texas; Fort, Bliss, Texas; South Korea; Dallas, Texas; Austin, Texas; and Honduras. In 1996, Pastor Maddox was saved and baptized at The Comanche Chapel, located at Fort’ Hood, Texas; under the leadership of Chaplain Freddie Hall.

In 1997 he and his family joined The Greater Vision Full Gospel Community Church, which was later renamed Greater Vision Community Church, under the pastoral leadership of Reverend David G. Reynolds. In the year of 2000, Pastor Maddox was called to serve on the Board of Deacons and Board of Trustees. After receiving his ordination on the Deacon Board in 2000, Pastor Maddox began teaching Sunday Class for youth that was 15-17 years of age. He also worked directly with Pastor Reynolds as Building Committee Chairman. As chairman of the Building Committee the church purchased 6.4 acres of land, and in 2001 they moved into its first Church Building.

Heeding the call of the Master, Pastor, announced his calling in 2003 and was licensed to preach in July 2006, at New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church; under the leadership of the late Dr. Donald H. Smith, Pastor. After being ordained in Oct. 2008; Pastor Maddox was appointed to the position of Assistant Pastor. He served in that position until the Lord called Dr. Donald H. Smith, Home in Feb. 2013 and Pastor Maddox was installed in June 2013, by his Father in the Ministry Dr. W.W Jackson Jr, Moderator of The Lincoln District Association of Texas; and Pastor of the Mount Paran Missionary Baptist Church located in Texas City, Texas. Continued  studies were completed  at Grace School Of Theology. He is currently enrolled at Liberty  University which is located in Virginia to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Theology.
